Kaskazi Back to Nature
Kaskazi, the ancient Swahili word for “northern wind,” is a monsoon wind that has facilitated the spice trade between the East African coast and the rest of the world for centuries.
Kaskazi Back to Nature was established to bring responsibly sourced products from East African smallholder farmers to the UK. Although it has some of the best organic and sustainably grown products in the world, these farmers often do not have the resources or knowledge to access UK and European markets.
We work with businesses in Tanzania and Zanzibar who share our values, including ensuring fair prices are paid to local farmers and returning a portion of their profits to the community to provide development, education and certifications.
